Model cards are a way of documenting an AI model to encourage transparency.. They were initially developed by Google but are widely used especially due to the provision of a open source toolkit. The sections/fields in a model card have evolved but typically include details of the algorithm used, the purpose for which it was developed, the training and evaluation, and potential ethical concerns.
